This year the Holy Week as per the Catholic Church, and of course in Spain, is from Monday, April 10th to Easter Sunday, April 16th, and after Easter the following day is also a holiday. This Monday is called Easter Monday.

During the so called Holy Week cities tend to get a lot of tourists that come for the celebrations. Nothing wrong going during that week only thing you have to be sure to have reservations. Of course shops and banks tend to be closed probably not all week but from Friday to Easter Monday inclusive.
