Mid February we are going for a quick trip to Arizona just to get away from the Grey Skies of B.C!

We will have 8 nights in total and have booked the first 4 in Scottsdale and the final 3 in Tucson.

We are renting a car and wonder if anyone has an idea of an interesting place to stay for an overnight between these 2 cities. Or would we be better off to drive further South when we leave Scottsdale and then wend our way back to Tucson?

I'd really appreciate any ideas as this is the first time we've been to this area.
