A friend of mine is travelling from Los Angeles to San Francisco in June and wants to spend a couple of days somewhere between the two - perhaps Big Sur? Must be accessible by greyhound (or perhaps amtrak), quite literary/ culture / kitsch oriented (!) and gotta be pretty cheap. Any suggestions? I really have no idea!!
