We will be flying into Toulouse and taking the train to Brive. We will have a couple of days to reset our clocks before our walking trip. We thought of leaving Toulouse and stopping at Figeac or Cahors, both on the train line to Brive. We could do both, I think - one night at each. We want to get acclimatized to France and get ready for our 12 day walking trip. An attractive historic town or city of a manageable size is what we are looking for.

At the end of the trip we will have a couple of days before our flight home. We may stay in Toulouse and daytrip to Carcassonne by train - evidently there are 23 departures a day!
