Has anyone been to any of the NORTHERN national parks of Chile in the area of the Atacama Desert - Parque Nacional Louca, Reserva Nacional Los Vicunas, San Pedro de Atacama, or Reserve Nacional los Flamencos? I'm particularly interested in the altitude question - whether it bothered you, what you did about it, whether the parks were worth seeing, how you made your arrangements etc. I'll be traveling in late April when it seems too cold to go south from Santiago and that north is a better direction.
