Subject: Re: Accommodation in Seattle
Hi Jan,

We were in Seattle in December and stayed at the Hampton Inn downtown,

700 Fifth Avenue North Seattle, Washington, United States, 98109 1-206-282-7700 1.54 miles from city center It was the usual Hampton Inn http://www.hamptoninn.com/ which I like. They have a very nice breakfast, serve cookies in the afternoon. You are only a block from the Needle, and closer yet to the Frank Gehry music building. ( Not sure of the name.) I believe that there is a free shuttle in the downtown to go to the museums, the fabulous Rem Koolhaas Seattle Public library (now the most popular tourist attraction in Seattle and well worth visiting!) The hotel also had free Internet in the business room, and free parking.

We had a very nice, quiet stay there. The rooms are always clean and the hotel very accommodating. I mentioned that there was not enough hot water in the evening and the person at the desk asked what she could do to accommodate me. I was sort of dumb struck and she said that they would give us one night free! Evidently, Hampton Inn has this new policy about making sure that its customers are 100% happy.

I am sort of picky but I recommend this hotel. We stayed three nights.
