I, too, recommend Guatemala. I just returned from a stove installation trip & leave again on a medical mission in 10 days.

It's a wonderful country, so full of promise & beauty, you just can't miss.

During my weeks doing medical work or installing stoves, I enjoy meeting with people in the indigenous communities. Their network of extended family & sense of community is astounding. I think my growing appreciation of their culture has deepened my experience in visiting historic & natural sites. But Guatemala can be enjoyed at any level. Go!
