Until you get there, you are on the autostrada. The coast road, however, is two lane, goes up along the sides of the mountains and has some blind turns. It was work to drive, and I, as the driver, could not look at anything along the way. There are places to pull off for the view, and that was what we did.

Sorry, I don't know about any of the other possibilities for traveling there.
