Thanks so much for the feedback. We booked our seats on SATA today - we've opted for an open jaw deal: Toronto-Lisbon and Porto-Toronto. It cost the same as Toronto-Lisbon return and Toronto-Porto return. It will be such a treat to be travelling direct!

For others who might be interested in doing something similar, we were unable to book online and when we called SATA Internacional we were told we had to go through a travel agent. We used Acadia Travel in Toronto who seem very nice.
