Subject: Re: Hotel Muguet, Paris
Hi Helen

The website for Hotel Muguet is: http://www.paris-hotel-muguet.com/

A colleague stayed there a couple of years ago and loved it. Also written up in National Geographic Traveler.

Note though that there is a recent review in Tripadvisor saying that the hotel this month is undergoing renovation and weren't advised that this was the case. Check it out!

We have stayed at the Grand Hotel Leveque some years ago, a Rick Steves favorite. Same general area as the Muguet. http://www.hotel-leveque.com/ On a market street (Rue Cler) so front rooms can be noisy. Note that we had to get 2 rooms for our family of 4 and they weren't side by side! I guess we didn't specify.

If I were staying in Paris for just a couple of days, I would consider staying near Place de la Contrescarpe and Rue Mouffetard. Colourful, "vrai Parisian"! When we wandered into the place, we were enchanted! Closest Metro stops would be Maubert-Mutualite, Cardinal Lemoine or perhaps Luxembourg.

My Cadogan guidebook recommends the Familia at the moderate price range: http://www.familiahotel.com/

Also Hôtel Claude Bernard Saint-Germain http://tinyurl.com/8pn52 They have quad rooms.

There is also a Comfort Inn on Mouffetard. However they don't seem to have American-style 2 double beds in rooms. This hotel is *not* in my guidebook. http://tinyurl.com/9t5os
