They used to charge, in American money, for the baggage carts in San Francisco's international terminal, and it irked late and beloved newspaper columnist Herb Caen so much that he started a campaign in his column against it. He was ultimately successful in getting the airport to drop the charge in the international terminal. Try writing letters to the Toronto and suburban newspapers about it. And if Pearson airport is government run, complain to your MP or municipal councilcritter.
