Subject: Re: Accommodations in Lisbon
Hello Ziners, Susan and Steve:

About accommodations in Lisbon I don’t think Hotel Travel Park a good option. I know the hotel inside. It is simple, clean but not very well decorated. But the real problem is the area where it is located. Although the metro station is very close, it is not a safe area. Even the local residents don’t feel safe. So, in my opinion, you should forget this hotel.

>From the others I would prefer Real Parque. There is also a metro station near, some shops, restaurants and cafes and the area is a mix between residential and business.

For my taste, I would prefer a small hotel in the ills. Olissipo Castelo is nice but you have few public transportation there.

I can also suggest Albergaria Senhora do Monte http://www.maisturismo.pt/1/55.html from where you have certainly the most beautiful view of the city. To this small hotel (also in one of our ancient seven ills) you can take tram nº 28, the most typical of Lisbon that goes downtown (Rossio) through old Alfama quarter.

Have a nice stay in Lisbon!

Bye Helena, in Lisbon, Portugal
