Subject: Re: Trip to Tuscany Early May
Dear Steve and Ziners,

We were in Florence in 2004 and enjoyed many restaurants. Buca Lapi - Via del Trebbia 1r (in Palazzo Antinori) was recommended by Don and Linda and and the steak Florentine was great.

We were staying on the Arno at Ponte Trinita, and we enjoyed a number of restaurants across the Arno (Oltrarno). La Casalingua - Via del Michelozzi 9r (near Santo Spirito) is fun, inexpensive and very busy. It is a good lunch choice if you are at the Pitti Palace.

We also enjoyed dinner at the following restaurants in Oltrarno.

Cammillo Trattoria - Borgo San Jacapo 57r - serving very good, traditional food.

Osteria Cinghiale Bianco - Borgo San Jacopo 43r - rustic decor with traditional Tuscan food.

Trattoria Quatro Leoni - Via dei Vellutini 1r (In Piazza della Passera - but do not confuse it with the restaurant that just serves tripe also located in the same Piazza!). This restaurant serves simple, updated Tuscan food and has an upbeat, fun young staff.

Have a wonderful time.
