Subject: Re: Honesty of others while we travel
Hi,

In 1970, on our first trip to Europe, my husband dropped his wallet. He was unaware of it until we received a call from the person who found it. He tracked us down from a receipt for the hotel that was in the wallet. My husband went to the man's place of work to get it. He offered the man a reward but he refused to take it. It was definitely an act of kindness to take the time to find us.

I can only think of one incident in Florence where some young boys tried to swipe my husband's wallet. My opinion is that people are generally considerate and helpful through out the world. However, prudence never hurts!
