Subject: Hotel Amadeus-Seville
Hi Ziners:

I just spent 6 nights at the Hotel Amadeus in Seville, and couldn't recommend it more highly. Doubles are a bargain at 80-95 euros per night. The hotel has an excellent and safe location in the Bario Santa Cruz, steps away from anywhere you'd want to go, and there are lots of nice tapas bars nearby for dinner. I traveled alone and as a single woman, I felt very safe, coming and going at any hour. The hotel has some of the nicest common sitting areas I've experienced - almost like being in someone's living room, with classical music playing and tea and coffee available any time. Internet is free. The owner, Maria Lusisa, is an excellent host. This was her family's former home and she's maintained it with lots of ttention to the kinds of details that make a difference- plenty of light in the rooms, bathrobes and new fixtures in the bathrooms. No need for a car in Seville. Stay in this area and you can walk everywhere. See http://www.hotelamadeussevilla.com.
