Subject: Toronto questions
Hi Vince and Gerry,

If the weather is fine, you might like to go to Toronto Islands by ferry (foot of Yonge Street near the Harbour Castle Hotel). Great views of the city, have a stroll in the gardens, try the clothing-optional city-approved beach (Hanlan's Point), rent a bike or have a picnic. http://www.toronto.ca/parks/island/index.htm

The Toronto Zoo (not downtown) is one of the biggest in North America and is quite large. I love to go underground to see the polar bear from the an underwater vantage point. http://www.torontozoo.com/

There are several interesting buildings in development right now. Frank Gehry is redeveloping the Art Gallery of Ontario. http://www.ago.net/navigation/flash/frameset.cfm

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is being renovated and extended by Daniel Libeskind. The Michael Lee-Chin Crystal will open in Fall 2006 so maybe next time! http://www.rom.on.ca/index.php Choose Renaissance ROM.

If you do go to the AGO, deak down McCaul Street to see the Sharp Pavillion of the Ontario College of Art. Such a neat building! It's a building on sticks. http://www.uer.ca/locations/show.asp?locid=20146
