Subject: Re: Croatia - Cavtat or Mostar ?
Hi Rosemary,

We were in Croatia in the fall of '04. We went to Cavtat and walked around the town and up to the hilltop church and cemetery with wonderful views over the water. All the graves at that time were spectacularly decorated with flowers for All Saints Day. Some people at our hotel went to Mostar and said it was a long trip with not too much time there. The bridge has been rebuilt. Some other day trip options from Dubrovnik to consider: 1) Montenegro and the interesting old walled towns of Kotor and Budva. Nice mountain and fiord scenery. Even tho' Montenegro is not in the EU, the only currency accepted there is the Euro. 2) Ston on the Peljesac (sp?) penninsula with its salt works and 3 miles of protective walls. We had a wonderful seafood dinner in on old warehouse in Mali Ston (Little Ston).
