Subject: Accommodation in Northern Portugal
Hi Regina and fellow travellers to Northern Portugal,

In the North of Portugal, we stayed at a Quinta--one of the oldest in the area--called "Paco D'Ana". It was slightly south of Viana Do Castelo.

We had a 2 bedroom cottage, livingroom with fireplace, full kitchen, 2 bathrooms and they made us breakfast --all this for 80 Euro per night. It was fun! I understand they have a website now so you should be able to Google it.

In Porto we stayed at the Grande Hotel do Porto on Santa Catarina St. right around the corner from the market and within walking distance of the river. If you like port wine try the Port Institute--beautiful view and great ports!

Don't forget the Thurs. market at Braganca--I buy shoes and pots--great prices --as well as food. Also don't miss the Castle at Guilmares. Post again if you have other questions as we spent a week in the North.
