Subject: Re: Inoculation Info and Travel Health for India
Ziners,

I've followed this thread with interest. What does a traveller do if he/she has to visit India on short notice? It seems that many of the inoculations and preventive measures take time to take hold.

We travelled to China, Thailand and Nepal and passed on the malaria prevention measures because of the horror stories (nightmares, hallucinations, sweats, etc.) we heard from friends who had taken the medicine. Possible hallucinations at 34,000 feet seemed like a bad idea on a 17 hour flight from Canada. Fortunately, we were fine throughout our travels but visiting India has always worried me if I have to take these medicines beforehand.
