|Subject: When to purchase flights DC to Amsterdam?|
I am finding myself doing something I have rarely done - planning a trip during peak tourist season. I've got sticker shock from the airfare prices. I am trying to book a flight to Amsterdam (from Washington, DC) for the second week of June for a class reunion. I am seeing airfare in the $1000 range! Yikes! Is this normal for flights out of DC (I have access to BWI, Dulles International and Reagan National airports) to Europe in June? Should I play the waiting game and hope prices drop in a month? I have looked online using expedia, travelocity and also specific airline websites. Thanks!
