I have driven in Italy at night many times. I am not familiar with that particular part of the autostrada, but I have not found the autostrada any more difficult than North American superhighways.

The part that would be difficult would be driving on the other roads in an area you are not familiar with the signs that you are not familiar with. When you get to that part of the coast, it is hilly, the roads are narrow and it is DARK.
