My next trip is fantasy fulfillment - a voyage to places I have wanted to see for a long time.

It's a small-ship cruise - with Intrav - leaving from Edinburgh on June 22, heading for Reykjavik by way of the Orkney, Shetland and Faeroe Islands. Lots of opportunities for exploration along the way. No doubt lots of opportunities for mal de mer as well - I expect a few "what am I DOING here?" moments. However...

On my most recent trips to Europe I've helped with organizing and day-to-day shepherding of groups, so it will be an absolute delight to let someone ELSE worry about details. To get over jet lag and do a few things on my own, I'm arriving in Edinburgh a couple of days early (have booked at the Amar Agua Guest House, thanks to a recommendation from a Ziner).
