Perhaps the reason we go to England is because many of us have our roots there. We have been several times.

The last time we were in London we took a day trip to Bath and spent a good bit of time researching the genealogy archives that were in the basement of an old Government building. We were unable to find any references to the last name of Marksberry, but none-the-less it was interesting to dig through the old tomes. No computers there!

Our first trip was to Manchester and then on to London. We found the people quite friendly and most we met seemed to love Texans. My husband would ask if they had been to Texas and the usual reply was "No, but I love Texas"! Actually we liked Manchester better than London and loved the great fish and chips in Manchester.
