I think its the warm beer and the beaches comments. These things are sacred to us Aussies. Some of the comments hit home a little, but London like most big cities today is expensive. English food? well it is getting better and the warmth or lack of it from the natives has not changed much. Never the less it is a not to be missed country. Rough guide's opinions will not deter many. A little pagentry and a few castles with real royals still can pull in a crowd.
