The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is today celebrating St. George's Day, which was yesterday. The morning show has just played "The English" by Flanders and Swann in which they poke fun at themselves. It's an amusing retort to the Rough Guides panning of most things English and evidence of a sense of humour on the part of the natives. I have always enjoyed visiting England. Yes, London is expensive but it's an amazing city which would take a lifetime to explore. Each time we return, we discover something new and the food is definitely improving.
