My husband has just presented me with a potential opportunity to live in Dubai for a few months. He would be involved in the start up phase of a new branch of his company. For those of you who have visited this part of the world, what are your opinions of the area please?

I gather Dubai is quite Westernized but my first concern is how safe is the area & how would I be treated as a "mature" woman on my own a good portion of the time.

I would appreciate hearing any experiences you have had.
