Subject: Re: Forever England |
Hi Ziners,
I have to chime in. I love England -- ANYTIME. My latest favorite way to enjoy it is in February. We rent National trust cottages out in the country. We always choose one with an open fireplace. We don't need to eat out then. I love to cook in the little kitchens. Then, after a day hiking (even in the cold and wet, just wear your wellie boots and mac) we come back, cook a nice dinner, build a warm fire and watch the quirky BBC4 on TV whilst listening to the rain and wind beat the windows. There are few other tourists. We love a pub lunch on our hikes. And the cottages can be let for pretty cheap. The airfares are good too. So what's not to like? Nancy in Alexandria VA, USA |
