I've written about the Jesmond Hotel before. There are triples and quads available at very reasonable prices (85 and 100 pounds respectively for the room not per person). One year we had a triple and it was quite roomy.It's in Bloomsbury within a short distance to The City, the British Museum, the National Galleries, the theatre distict, etc. either walking or by Tube.
