We also love the area around the Parc Monceau. There are 2 other museums right near the park. Musee Nissim de Camondo was the home of Count Moise de Camondo, a prominent banker for the Ottoman Turks. The home has been preserved just as the family lived in it, with beautiful 18th Century French furniture. The Count died in World War I and the rest of the family perished in the Nazi concentration camps. Nearby there is also Musee Cernuschi, another beautiful mansion, with a collection of Chinese art .

For those who enjoy grand houses and gardens, there is the Virginia Robinson House in Los Angeles. This was one of the first mansions built in Beverly Hills and has an exquisite pool and gardens, as well as the original furnishings. http://www.robinson-gardens.com
