My wife and I, both in our 70s, will be spending 4 or 5 days in Rio, beginning next week, before we leave on a tour to Iguazu Falls and the Pantanal.

Lonely Planet lists 16 pages of Sights and Activities, which is kind of overwhelming. We definitely plan Pao de Acucar and Cristo Redentor, but we would appreciate thoughts on other must-see or must-do places or activities.

Since my wife is a certified diver and I have done 4 or 5 dives, thoughts about renting equipment and places to dive not too far from Rio would be especially welcome.
