Our summer plans this year are all in Canada...as usual!

We should call ourselves the 'Trip-of-the-month' Club since we'll be away at least once-a-month from now until January 2007.

This month we are off to Stratford by train to see a play and to use our $150 Gift Certificate when we dine at the Church Restaurant there.

June finds us travelling by ship from Montreal to the Iles de la Madeleine in the Gulf of the St Lawrence River on a week's cruise.

In late July, we'll be spending a week in Cobourg, Ontario, Travelling there by train, of course. We have tickets to see a play in Port Hope and a concert in Campbellford at the Westben Music Festival.

On the last week-end in August, we're driving to Knowlton in the Eastern Townships of Quebec for a week-end of Theatre.

Mid-September will see us on the train once again to Stratford where we'll see 2 plays this week-end.

In October, the play called 'Wicked' returns to Toronto. Since we hadn't yet made other travel plans, my wife said 'Let's go! Using the train, we'll travel in VIA 1 on the Express at 5pm on the Friday and see the play on Saturday.

The Shaw Festival will be our November destination. After taking the train to St Catharines, we'll just take a taxi into Niagara-on-the-Lake and to our hotel.

Between Christmas and New Years, we are treating my sister to an overnight train ride to the Town of Gaspe! Having never seen the Gaspe coast in the winter, and with both the ladies having Christmas holidays, I decided to cash in my accumulated VIA Rail Preference Points to cover the entire fare for the 3 of us.
