Subject: Re: San Diego Accommodations
Hi there Vanessa from the UK !

We have been to San Diego three times and the first time we stayed at the Best Western Island Palms Hotel & Marina 2051 Shelter Island Dr San Diego, CA 92106. It was great. The rooms were quite small but very clean and we were right on the front. The only downside is that it is near some sort of Military airport so there was quite a bit of aeroplane noise, helicopters etc., but that didnt bother us. The next time we were economising and booked another hotel which we were totally unhappy with. So the third time, we went on spec and booked in at the BW Island Palms again, at a walk in rate which was very good. They have a nice bar area and dining area with some good decent priced and enjoyable food. The pool area is nice and quiet and all in all we really enjoy it there. We always have a car so we travelled out and about in the mornings, returning for a nice relax by the pool late afternoon. It also has a nice marina at the back, and clothing washing/drying facilities.

Hope this helps.
