A couple of years ago, while visiting relatives in Radlett, north of London, we bought rail tickets that gave us transportation into central London, all day use in London, and return travel to Radlett on the same day. The ticket was from Thameslink, the operator of the particular line from Radlett to London, and it cost around 8 gbp.
