Ziners,

Angie wrote that Capri was somewhat disappointing because of too many tourists and shops. We found Capri to be enchanting. We wandered off the beaten path, leaving the village as soon as we got off the ferry and walked up the path to Tiberius' palace (what's left of it) greeting the locals and admiring their gardens as we walked. There is a funicular that will take you to the crest if you don't want to walk. I remember thinking that I would like to spend a night or two on Capri after the day tourists left and will do it one time.

The Blue Grotto, if you have the time, is not to be missed. Local fishermen will take you there. So, don't discount Capri. It has magical qualities that can be discovered if you leave the market square.
