Subject: Re: Santa Fe, NM dining opinions anyone?
Hi Maddy:

Here are a few more choices:

Senor Lucky's - where the old Palace Restaurant used to be - has a very good and creative Southwestern menu. It is owned by the guys who own Geronimo. Maria's is great for casual dining - terrific margaritas. They are always busy so make a reservation. Santacafe continues to be wonderful - especially for lunch of dinner on the patio.

For the birthday dinner, take a look at The Compound, on Canyon Rd: http://www.compoundrestaurant.com/indexmain.html The chef was the voted James Beard Foundation's "Best Chef of the Southwest 2005". Another is Acqua Santa on W. Alameda. Also Ristra is one of our favorites and has nice outdoor seating and is consistently great.

Just as an fyi, The Georgia Okeeffe Museum is between exhibitions right now - the last show just closed Sunday and next one opens June 16th so it probably won't be open.

Enjoy your visit, Leslie in Santa Fe
